Retrieving a Lost Properties Box
The Notes properties box is a separate window to allow you to quickly and easily format anything from text to a java applet. By clicking on the title bar of the properties box and dragging it around you can move it around your screen. Sometimes, this dragging has a "skid" effect, moving it completely off the screen. For example, you may drag it to the complete bottom of your screen quickly and it may move right off your screen. No matter what you do to try to make the Properties box reappear will not work, except modifying the Notes.ini file. To modify your Notes.ini, open it in Note pad (or other text editor) and find the line that starts with "Win32InfoboxPos=" The numbers that follow the "=" are the coordinates for the position of the properties box. Simply changes this line to read as follows:
Win32InfoboxPos=200 200
This will put the properties box somewhere in the middle of your screen ready for user. However, you will need to restart Notes in order for this change to take effect.
